Daily Stoic Entry #103: What Would Less Look Like?

April 13th, 2022

Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

Essentialism is the name of the game. Only say or do what's necessary and essential. This is extremely hard to put into practice for me personally, as we all get distracted and pulled in different directions. Same goes for buying and owning things, it should ideally be about the essentials. Don't deprive yourself completely but keep in mind what you truly need and what you need to spend your time, energy, and money on. It is most likely that you do not need much to live well.

Evening Reflection:

Having less just might be very freeing. Dropping the burdens of things that are ultimately not important. Whether it be material or mental possessions. It gives you more freedom to pursue other matters. It gives you more mental space to consider other things that are more important to you and have less to worry about. You'll gain more clarity about what it is you do need.
