Daily Stoic Entry #122: What Kind of Person Do I Want to Be?

May 2nd, 2022

Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

I want to be an honest and kind person. I want to develop my spirit to be courageous, wise, calm, and dependable. I want to be a person who goes after his goals and establish good relationships along the way. I'm still working on these qualities, but I've taken the right steps to start moving in the direction of these qualities.

Evening Reflection:

I want to be someone who lives his life meaningfully, contently, and joyfully. Whilst contributing a positive influence on those in my immediate surroundings and relationships. Notice, how none of these have to do with external qualities either. Yes, I would like to be a person with money and all the nice things, but these are not driving the desire to improve.

Title prompts are taken from The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
