Daily Stoic Entry #148: What Should I Think About Before I TakeAction?

May 28th, 2022

Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

Is it right for me? Do I have control over it? Is it something I do for myself or for others? These questions are important to determine whether a task is worth pursuing. Moreover, another question is 'what can I learn from this?' and 'if it's comfortable or hard, will it make me grow?'

Evening Reflection:

Ultimately, the question you should think about whether you want to take or not is 'what is my motivation?' What I'm trying to get at is to consider why I'm doing something and if it's not aimed at a certain outcome you can't control.

Title prompts are taken from The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
