Daily Stoic Entry #218: Can I Live Well No Matter How Trying the Environment?

August 7th, 2022

Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

We all like to think so, and I know I can handle tough situations that I'm currently facing, but we're often too optimistic about our short-term capabilities but underestimate the longer-term capabilities within us.

Evening Reflection:

First and foremost, when you can be happy by yourself with yourself then the environment and those around you become much less of a weight on your unhappiness or even happiness, as you are the source of your own contentment.

Title prompts are taken from The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
