Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

Eliminate the want that everything will have to be easy and comfortable. No growth can happen in this comfortable space. Iron can only be forged in fire, so expose yourself to the fire and become stronger. That's the larger point of view. Specifically, eliminate the want for energy drinks, bad food, certain luxuries you don't need. Eliminate distractions, focus on your efforts to really do just one thing at a time, that's a modern superpower. Eliminate social media browsing, you don't really enjoy it anyway.

Evening Reflection:

Eliminate the want for approval and validation, the only thing that matters are that you approve of yourself no matter how hard you are on yourself. Only compare yourself to yourself. You are on you own journey. Don't be tempted to run someone else's schedule. Learn from others but only compare yourself to who you were yesterday, the rest is out of your control and irrelevant. Validation, peace, confidence, these all come from within not without. Remember this and you'll see that certain wants are eliminated automatically. Lots of our wants are driven by marketing tricks that convince you validation can be bought which it can't.

Title prompts are taken from The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
