Daily Stoic Entry #26: What Is My Mantra Today?

January 26th 2022

Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

Relax, let go, play, and focus on the task at hand. Do not worry about the past or future plans. Take a step forward toward improvement and growth today. You most likely have all the answers you need already. You can accumulate knowledge more and more, that's fine. But execution triumphs every day over unexecuted knowledge. Gaining knowledge is something you enjoy, but don't let it fill your head with unnecessary self-talk, don't get stuck in your head. You have the answers, shut out the voices of others and your own voice will come to you. Do stuff for yourself. Not anyone else.

Evening Reflection:

Execution trumps knowledge always. It's worth repeating. Find a way to execute on those small improvements. You're too focused on huge future events rather than focusing on the process to get you there.

Title prompts are taken from The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
