Daily Stoic Entry #269: What Do Prosperity and Difficulty Each Reveal About Me?
September 27th, 2022
Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).
Morning Reflection:
The difficulties over the last year have taught me I will survive and can effectively manage such scenarios. Now, it's not exactly life-threatening stuff but nevertheless I've learned some lessons for the first time, for some of these I've been surprisingly adaptive, surprising to myself anyway.
Evening Reflection:
Prosperity on the other side has taught me several things as well. It's taught me that a certain level is great to obtain but anything beyond that has diminishing returns, in terms of happiness. I've also tried to challenge what i need and don't need versus what I'm used to in terms of prosperity. I am acclimatized to certain luxury so I've been trying to see what I can do without.
