Daily Stoic Entry #286: What If Instead of getting Mad, I Offered to Help?
October 14th, 2022
Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).
Morning Reflection:
This morning was a good test with tensions flaring between two parties at work. This is a good minor test because I'm involved but not so involved that you can't think straight. So, it gives me an opportunity to see how people react in these situations whilst trying to help mediate the situation as best as possible. Which serves me as well as helping those two parties helps me because there's less conflict to deal with at my workplace.
Evening Reflection:
As I said this morning, I've been positioning myself as a mediator to try and smooth things over between the parties. It's a step towards helping and I'm keeping my own mindset in check. To not get mad as the result of others being upset because it's an easy trap to get caught up in the emotions of others.
