Daily Stoic Entry #35: Am I Cultivating The Invincibility Of My Power To Choose ?

February 4th 2022

Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

Slowly but surely I think I am. I think more than any other period in the last five years I'm making conscious choices about elements of my life I wish to change or be different. The last six months of challenges, heartbreak, job loss have been the straws that broke the camel's back. As they say when it rains it pours and I'm experiencing the whiplash. Realising that I must choose now to accept it and become better because of it. The next year will possibly be the one of the most growth for me.

Evening Reflection:

Don't rush it either. your power to choose is unchanged regardless of how fast or slow the progress comes. Right now you're in a hurt state of mind, still in the recovery process. However, look at how much you've changed already in just three months time. Despite wanting to fix certain elements in your life. Love and friendships don't simply happen in a day no matter how powerful the act of choosing is, you can't make something so. However it is in your power to choose to accept the process and continue working.
