Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

"The good things in life cost what they cost. The unnecessary things are not worth it any price. The key is being aware of the difference" — Ryan Holiday

I would add to that, that you must decide what cost you're willing to pay for the things you value compared to the things you don't really value. For example, if you don't care about clothes, yet spend two hundred a month on then you spend too much on something that you don't care about.

Evening Reflection:

Other than the obvious material things, you sell your attention too cheaply and easily on trivial matters. Harness your attention and focus deeply on simple but important matters and see how successful you'll become. More importantly, you'll find more meaningful rewards in that pursuit itself. Reread Jordan Peterson and David Goggins, they both make the simple argument you shouldn't sell yourself cheaply and aim at pushing and growing yourself, becoming more of who you're supposed to be.

Title prompts are taken from The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
