Daily Stoic Entry #99: Can I Step Back and Test My Impressions? What Would I Find If I Did?

April 9th, 2022

Follow along with my personal daily stoic journal, unfiltered, unedited (except for some spelling mistakes).

Morning Reflection:

Keep practicing meditation and mindfulness. I don't really need to think more about a problem. Overthinking is part of the issue for me. However, stepping back allows you to take a moment to act rather than react on an immediate emotional response triggered by your environment.

Evening Reflection:

Would I find more peace of mind? That's one of my goals to walk around without that know of anxiety in my stomach. What do I really need to find, wille most likely be different from what I think I need. I feel that by stepping back and practicing that mindfulness allows me to figure that out eventually.

Title prompts are taken from The Daily Stoic Journal by Ryan Holiday and Stephen Hanselman.
